After my return from the Lofoten at the beginning of March it went seamlessly into the Corona times! Unfortunately I had to bury my travel plans for Japan! But I do not bury my head in the sand and plan to make up for this trip next year. But I have further plans for 2021. I would like to visit the Faroe Islands in the North Atlantic. I plan to spend 10 days for this photo trip. The visit should take place in the first half of the coming year.
The Faeroe Islands lie pretty much in the middle between Scotland and Iceland. The archipelago consists of 18 individual islands.
The highest elevation is 882 m. The main islands are connected by bridges and tunnels similar to the Lofoten Islands. The scarcely 50000 inhabitants are opposed to 80000 sheep. The cliffs of the archipelago are among the highest in the world.
Today I have started the preparations for the trip and will report here regularly.
