We are currently experiencing a heat wave in Germany, unusual for our latitudes, with temperatures of almost 40 degrees Celsius for more than a week. The nights are mostly tropy, i.e. the temperature does not fall below 20 degrees. I am absolutely not made for this weather and so I decided to flee from it. I have chosen a dam in the Sauerland for this.
The Henne water reservoir is located in North Rhine-Westphalia in a left side valley of the Ruhr at the northern edge of the nature park Sauerland-Rothaargebirge, one kilometer south of the district town of Meschede.
The selected hotel was located directly at the lake. Just the right thing to escape the heat in the Rhineland.
